Opening of the group exhibition Rock in Paris
Check the pictures of Paranoid, an artwork inspired by Black Sabbath. I presented it at Voskel gallery in Paris for the Rock exhibition.
What was this exhibition about?
Rock, A Graphic Tribute To Rock Culture was a group exhibition.
Voskel presented the art exhibition in their gallery in Paris. The idea was to select international artists. Everybody did an original artwork for the group show. The concept was to produce a tribute to the rock legends. The artists produced artworks based on a classic album cover from the 60’s or the 70’s. We were free to choose whatever album cover would inspire us. Some artists chose albums from The Beatles, other chose to work on classic rock material. I chose to work on the cover from the Black Sabbath’s album Paranoid.

Why did I choose the cover from the album Paranoid?
First of all, I really like the music of the Black Sabbath’s album.
Paranoid is the second studio album of the heavy metal band. Before Ozzy Osbourne became a reality TV puppet, he used to be the Godfather of Heavy Metal. I listened to the album Paranoid when I was a teenager. At the time I was fascinated by both the music and the album cover. There is something classic, enigmatic and strangely appealing in Paranoid. According to me it makes it one of the greatest and most influential heavy metal albums of all time.
I enjoy Paranoid but what I really love is hip-hop. Check my art exhibition about hip-hop lyrics.
