Poster for Artoyz in Paris
The toy designers invited me to take part in the art exhibition Artoyz Fakestival.
What is Artoyz Fakestival?
Artoyz Fakestival pays tribute to summer European music festivals.
From Glastonbury to Vans Warped Tour, every festival brings its musical selection and its visual identity. Artoyz invited a fresh selection of today’s artists. They asked the artists to program and create promotional artworks for Artoyz FakeStival, an imaginary music festival.
A fake festival for a real art show.
What is the idea behind the group exhibition?
The concept behind the show was to produce the poster for a fake music festival.
I paid tribute to Afrobeat music.
I did the drawing of a sexy girl wearing a mask. I mixed the result with typographical experiments.
Artwork specifications
The artwork was available for a cheap price during the summer.
People could afford a signed poster for only 60 euros. I printed the poster on top-quality 210g Enhanced Epson paper.
The poster is 40x60cm and easy to frame.
Some will recognize the names of Afrobeat band in the illustration.
I did some font works with the names of Osibisa, Kalala Afrorock, Fela Kuti, Mahmoud Ahmed, Oneness Of Juju, Segun Okeji, Aye Keta, Blo, Rob, Kokolo, and Buari.
I hope that you will love the artwork as much as I love their music.
I did this new drawing for Artoyz in Paris.
