Opening of Brunch Bazar in Paris
Eastpak featured the work I did on one of their (giant) bag during an art exhibition at Brunch Bazar in Paris.
TAG MY GIANT BAG
Do you remember when Eastpak invited me to work on one of their bag?
Tag My Giant Bag follows a similar concept. Eastpak ask international street artists to work on a giant version of their bag. Right after I finished my earlier collaboration with the brand, Nicolas Pinelli from Eastpak called me to see if I wanted to work on one of their giant backpack. I accepted and worked on the bag while I was in France for my 2012 solo exhibition in Paris.
Right after I finished to install the opening exhibition at Sergeant Paper gallery, I went back home to work on the bag. With just a Posca and a lot of motivation, I managed to finish my artwork on this giant canvas.
Eastpak then presented the result during a group exhibition at Brunch Bazar in Paris.
WHAT IS BRUNCH BAZAR?
Brunch Bazar is a Parisian event initiated and organized by Nadège Winter.
The hyperactive girl is a well-known figure in Paris. She was successfully the communication director of the Palais de Tokyo art center, one of the reason Colette store became famous worldwide (good job), and she is now the head of NWA (Nadège Winter Agency). When she was working for Colette, Nadège called me on two occasions, the first time was to ask if my editor-in chief wanted to distribute our mag called Kink in the Parisian shop, and the second time to distribute my book NYC Rules.
More recently, the girl is working as the creator and organizer of Brunch Bazar.
Brunch Bazar is a great event and has quickly became the rendezvous for cool people in Paris. The event is a mix of art shows, culinary surprises, a giant playground for grown-ups and fashionistas.
Every time the event is held in a different place and this time Brunch Bazar was in Faust (under the Alexandre III bridge in Paris).
VIDEO BY JOHN CARRIERE
Once again, the french photographer John Carrière was here to take nice pictures and to cover the art event.
In the past, John came to make a report of my 2011 solo art exhibition in Marseille, and later made another video of my collaboration with Eastpak.
This time, he took cool pictures of the people attending the group exhibition at Brunch Bazar as well as the artworks made by artists such as Colorz, le Cyklop or myself.
