Burning Ink exhibition
I took part in the Geneva edition of the Burning Ink exhibition in Switzerland.
What is Burning Ink?
Burning Ink is a group art exhibition with a unique concept.
The idea is to gather international artists to produce original handmade drawings. During an exhibition, attendees can buy one of the drawings. The twist is that the buyer will not go back home with the paper version of the artwork. A professional tattoo artist will ink them with the drawing. At the end of the group exhibition, we burn the remaining drawings.
The artworks can only survive on people’s skins. Get your skin ready!
How did I join Burning Ink Geneva?
A couple of years ago I took part in the Paris edition of Burning Ink.
This time Burning Ink move to Switzerland.
After several shows across New York, London, Berlin, Madrid and Istanbul, the show took place at The Square Gallery Geneva.
The curator invited me to join the group exhibition.
DC Shoes present the art show and Vince Pages (Nuit Noire) will ink tattoo the art pieces.
Making of the artwork
Discover how I did my drawing for Burning Ink.
The artwork took me about two days to complete. I used a cheap ball-point pen and drew on an acid-free art paper.
