Opening of the group exhibition Forward in Paris
Check the pictures of the opening night of the Forward group exhibition presented at l’Espace Beaurepaire in Paris.
What is the Forward exhibition?
Forward was an art exhibition curated by DC Shoes and Redux magazine in 2007.
At the time this art show was a big hit in Paris. I was later invited to take part in other group exhibitions organized by Redux and DC.
For this art show, I created giant art prints and showcased it at l’Espace Beaurepaire gallery in Paris.
The art gallery is located in the center of the French capital city.
I displayed my artworks in the entrance of the gallery, so everybody could see it from the street.
Who are the people in the artworks?
The name of girl in this drawing is Louise. This woman is somebody very special to me, and this artwork is a tribute to her beauty…
The boy with the red shirt is Sylvain. He is one of my two best friends and I drew him especially for the art show.
The drawing of the boy with the yellow shirt is a self portrait.
WHO ORGANIZED THIS GROUP SHOW?
Redux organized this exhibition. Redux is a great lifestyle magazine published in France.
I did a lot of artworks for the publication.
As a regular contributor for the magazine, they even commissioned me to illustrate the cover once.
A couple of years later, the editor-in-chief invited me to take part in other art shows.
One was the nice Burning Ink exhibition, where artists produced artworks that were tattooed on the exhibition attendees.
I really enjoy to take part of unique and original art shows.
