Disillusion is the word

This series of artworks is part of a larger saga.
I’ll the sage develop through several exhibitions.
It is a story about disillusion leading to new illusions.
The characters I called La Société Des Griffeurs left a world they didn’t fit in, and created their own utopia.
Whatever you think is missing in your life, don’t complain but do it yourself.

I started from scratch

When I say that “I started from scratch” I mean it.
With no money I used to sell burgers, collect trashes, clean toilets, and all other kind of really bad jobs so I could put food on the table.
I never stopped believing in my passion for art anyway, and keep creating stuffs despite the tough life.

LA CAUTION

This punchline play with the title 20000 Leagues Under the Sea.
La Caution changed Sea with Shit, a word phonetically close is french.
This crappy image describe the situation where the characters I draw were living before moving to the jungle.

According to me, Iceberg Slim is one of the best contemporary american novelist.
